Thing 12

I have been a fan of Google tools for some time. Two that I really like are Google Drive and Google Calendar. Google Drive is a great way to share documents like scripts, rehearsal contracts, and audition forms to with my students. Google Calendar is a wonderful way to share things like a rehearsal schedule with a cast or an activities schedule with a drama club.

Thing 11

I don’t think any of the blog search engines were confusing to use but if I had to pick, I think that the Google blog search was the easiest. I found some theatre blogs that I think would be useful because they talk about trends and issues in theatre for young audiences. Another way that I found some newsfeeds was through the websites that I am already subscribed to.

Thing 10

RSS feeds are pretty cool. I like the fact that this feature will put all of the new information from all the blogs that I like in one place. It is much better then getting dozens of emails from different emails subscriptions. I think that this would be a great tool for my theatre students. I would want them to subscribe to theatre themed feeds. I could use this as a way to distribute articles and show reviews. I think that all educators could take advantage of this tool. While I am not sure how helpful this would be for high school students, I would most defiantly use this for university level classes.

Thing 9

For thing number 9 I used the site ImageChef to create some signs. I would use some of the signs you see below to inform students about upcoming events. The process was relatively simple. I found signs that seemed to be entertainment oriented and added text that applied to drama/theatre.
